Works, Looks Alright, With Drawbacks : Sunlight Desk Lamp - 150 watt of light output consumes 27 watts. Natural Sunlight Emulation
I'm visually impaired and legally blind, I have an eye condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa. It basically means I have little to no peripheral vision, worse than 2200 vision with glasses on, and I can't see in the dark or dimly lit places(I can't see my own hand in front of my face inside a movie theater).
My room may be bright for the average person but not for me, I can't read at all in it, and the $15 lamp that shines yellow light doesn't do me any good at all. But this lamp shines white light and is very good and very bright, sometimes I think it's too bright for my light sensitive eyes, it doesn't bother me that much however.
I'm able to read very well and see colors very clearly. The light also spreads across a very wide surface radius which is a big plus for me. My only complaint is the base is a bit too big and the power cord is far too short making it somewhat difficult and frustrating to arrange on my desk.
Overall I'm very pleased with this product, sure it has shortcomings but the positives outweighs the negatives, and for a visually impaired person this lamp is a great investment.
